Dr Martens 1461 Classic Flats

30.7.15

These have been constantly on my mind since I first saw them after obsessing over the american asos. I've found them on amazon for a bit cheaper, and they've taken pride place as the tab on my laptop that will never be closed. BUT, there's no way I can afford to spend £60 on a pair of shoes ( don't start going on at me about my vagabonds, I saved for 4 months and got payed £20 for a blog design and £30 for something on iPlayer ).
I've mentally made a list of pros to try to make myself love them more/less - still trying to figure it out. I tried them on in office a few weeks ago and they are the PERFECT fit, despite being insanely uncomfortable ( aren't all docs though? ). I've worn some in before - only took 2 weeks and 3 pairs of socks all worn at one time. So so practical, they go with everything because of the shape and colour, and I could probably get away with wearing these as school shoes. The list is endless.
Someone tell me if I should get them ( £60!!!!! ), or tell me if you've seen any cheaper lookalikes!

now playing: take me out franz ferdianand/grace kelly mika/no more mr nice guy alice cooper
yes, I'm bringing that back

    1. Yesss a fellow obsessor! I don't get pocket money, so I have to rely on my acting and blog design mostly.. and I get so stingy with my money too, which is probably really bad haha!

  6. Doc martens are amazing! I have heard that they aren't very comfortable at first but at least you are paying 60 pounds for something that is of good quality and super cute! :)

  9. You should get them, I got a pair and wore them as my school shoes and pretty much every weekend and they're still in amazing condition which is surprising since I have basically worn them everyday. Plus they really make all outfits look cool and there are so many ways to wear them! You can wear them with white socks or patterned socks or pink socks or ankle socks that you can't see. Honestly, they're incredible and I'm considering buying a pair in oxblood (although I think I might be too late because they were on sale but I dont think so anymore) but oh my god my pair are my babies, you should get them, you won't regret it!x
