Borough Market and Southbank at Christmastime

23.12.16

We went on a long walk through Borough Market and then along the river, before seeing Peter Pan at the National Theatre (which was the most insane experience ever ever ever). It made me feel very festive indeed, so I thought I'd share some of the photos if anyone is lacking the Christmas spirit!

When In Margate

6.8.16

Just over a month ago we ( my mum and my 4 best friends ) headed off to Margate for the weekend, so I thought I'd share a few of the many photos we took, and what we got up to! Also, this post contains me wearing a very yellow 'Clueless' inspired jacket.. just so you're prepared.

London Fashion Weekend

23.3.16

It only gets better. I recently attended my second Fashion Weekend at the Saatchi Gallery on King's Road, aka one of the coolest places in London. I think that if you're not going to the big big deal lfw, it's less about the shows and more about the 'spectacle' and all that. Just being able to see all the designers' work, have really really good coffee and watch people who are cooler than you is amazing in itself.

  • The Snog bus on South Bank
  • Brixton Village
  • Pizza East
  • More trips to Notting Hill

betty girl's club

28.11.15

If the title is misleading, I can explain. I don't know if any of you have heard of the magazine Betty, but a few months ago they held an event for their readers called Betty Girls' Club. Complete with lip shaped donuts, free lush perfume samples ( complete with matching chocolates ) and nail polish, the night was a dream.

I went along with my friend Ellen ( the one with the curly blonde hair ), and a whole two hours was spent being all fancy with mocktails, flicking through various magazines on display, and taking pictures of e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g. We even had a little chat with the founder and the editor of Betty, which was a bit surreal, and though we were the youngest there, everyone was super lovely. We went away with a goodie bag and the Betty annual feeling really really spoiled but happy.

ps - Is it too soon to be looking forward to it next year?
pps - You can sign up to Betty here and be informed when there's a new event like this!!

sketch afternoon tea

20.8.15

Side note - the lighting in this place was awful, so I apologise for my futile attempts to make the photos look better.

Towards the end of June, my lovely mum decided to treat me and take me to the Sketch gallery on Conduit Street as an early birthday present. Two of my best friends Maddy and Jemma came along as well. I've never felt more like a princess ( so so so so posh ). We had unlimited tea, which is perfect in itself, and then they brought out two cupcake stands packed full of fancy nibbles and desserts. The cheese paninis were so tasty, us three ordered two more each!!

The setting was insane. We spent a good half an hour walking around looking at all the David Shrigley illustrations, and another 20 minutes taking pictures of the toilets ( not the actual toilets, those were in separate little pods ( ?? ) ). But going back to the food again. It was beautifully presented, and the first time I've ever tasted caviar. With little macarons, sandwiches, cakes etc, I wanted to take the whole lot home with me and ration it out.

I loved every bit of my time there, so if you want a fun afternoon out, definitely definitely look into having afternoon tea at Sketch.

Bubblegum Alley

12.4.15

If you're wondering why on earth I wanted to take pictures in front of walls of year old bubblegum, the answer is this - it's pretty incredible. Once you get past the 'oh my days this is disgusting I'm gonna puke' stage, it's amazing. Situated in San Luis Obispo, which is a town in California, it's right between a retro sweetshop and Wildfox Couture. Classy. There a cute love notes stuck here and there, and I just loved the whole experience. Of course, how could I go there without sticking my own gum on the wall? I couldn't. Another reason I really wanted to go here, is because I wanted to do a slightly different, special post, because... this is my 100TH POST ON THIS BLOG. WHOOOOO *confetti* *trumpets* *scattered applause*. I just want to take some time to thank everyone who reads and follows this blog. Although there aren't many of you, you all mean the world to me. Okay, soppy moment over. Have a nice day :)

london fashion weekend

2.3.15

It was insane. Actually mind-blowing. I'm really super fortunate to have been able to sit in the front row of the Sibling show ( rhyme not intended )!! So me and Mia wandered about, you know, doing that 'blogger' thing. It's really hard to blend in with glitter and neon and fabulousness when you're wearing a grey jersey. 10/10 for effort Edie.

But woooow, everyone there was just perfect. And normal water and food isn't allowed, only fiji water and fruit flakes. I loved everything about it, and I'm praying I'll be able to go ( and get lost ) again.
