I thought it would be nice to do some quick and easy diys for y'all today. I usually find it impossible to find successful things to do without going to Mars and back, so hopefully this will help you out!

Glitter Pumpkin

What you'll need:

• a pumpkin ( real or faux - they both work )
• pva/liquid glue
• rainbow glitter
• newspaper
• a paintbrush

1. Put some newspaper down on a surface.

2. Squeeze some glue on top of the pumpkin ( mine was a faux plastic one for £1 from asda ), spread it out and neaten it up with the paintbrush. Remember, it doesn't have to be perfect. It's got to look fairly random and un-coordinated so the glitter stands out.

3. Here's the fun part. You can go wild with all that glitter ( yaaaaay ). I find it looks best if each drip is a different colour, but I'm sure a mix would look amazing too. Just make sure you cover all the glue.

4. Let the glue dry, then use a paintbrush to sweep of the excess glitter.

And here's the finished look. Not the completely finished look, as it was left out in the rain before the glue dried ( oops ). This would look great by itself or next to a traditional carved pumpkin. It was so easy to make, and I'm sure if you made this the night before Halloween it would be ready by then. Bonus, it's glittery.

Pumpkin Nails

The next diy is almost too cliche for me to post, as pumpkins are the most famous Halloween food ever, but it's too cute not to.

You will need:

• A basic/nude polish
• Dark and light orange polish
• A thin brush or nail art tool
• Brown polish
• Green polish
• A topcoat 

1. Paint your nail with two coats of the nude polish. White or light brown would work too.

2. Paint a semi-circle of the darker shade of orange on the top of your nails.

3. Using a thin brush or a nail striper and the lighter shade of orange, paint stripes so it looks like the pumpkin is curved.

4. Paint a brown stem, and a spiral of green.

5. Finish with a topcoat to seal your design.

Alien Mocktail Drink

You will need:

• An orange drink - I cheated and used fanta.
• Cool Glasses
• Alien/ghost marshmallows or any other Halloween themed food that will slip onto the glass.

All you need to do is pour the drink into the glass and slip the marshmallows on the side. It's so easy but SO ADORABLE.

Amongst all the Halloween excitement, one thing I can't resist is making lots and lots of food. No, no, not just any food. Pinterest and tumblr inspired Halloween food *smirk*.

Jack Skellington Cupcakes

You will need:

• 1 box of chocolate cake mix ( I used a betty crocker brownie one )
• 1 egg
• 40ml vegetable oil
• 75ml water
• fluffy white icing ( betty crocker vanilla )
• black gel writing icing
• oreos

1. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees C. In a large bowl, mix together the cake mix, eggs, oil and water. Mix until it's completely blended with no lumps, and a dark brown colour.

2. Divide the batter among all the cupcake liners you can fit, and put in the oven for around 25 minutes, or until they are ready ( put a knife through one, if the knife is clean when you pull it out, it's baked ). Let cool.

3. Ice all the cakes. Use the black gel to make two large eyes. Next, pipe on two short lines for a nose. Finally, pipe a long line across the bottom of the cake and add dashes for the mouth.

4. If you're like me, you'll only have bought one tube of writing icing and run out of it. If this happens, you can cheat and pop some oreos on the remaining cakes.

Orange Sherbet Sorbet

You will need:

• oranges ( or lemons if you've run out, like me )
• orange sherbet/ice-cream
• mango sherbet/ice-cream. Luckily for me, at asda they had a mango and chocolate orange tub of ice-cream.

1. Slice off the top of an orange, and get rid of the insides, or make juice.

2. Put the orange and mango sherbet inside, until the top of the orange is flat enough to replace the top.

3. Serve immediately and enjoy!

'Eyeballs'

You will need:

• babybel cheeses
• black olives
• ketchup
• red food colouring/icing
• a paintbrush

1. Paint the veins/blood vessels ( !? ) on the cheese to make it look more like an eye.

2. Slice open an olive, and using a very thin piece from the middle, place on top of the cheese.

3. Fill the center of the olive with ketchup. If you're not a ketchup fan, leave the center of the olive empty.

1. Start off by doing your normal concealer, powder, foundation etc routine.

2. Use a white eye shadow base all over your lids. This makes the colour brighter and stay for longer.

3. Use a very bright eye shadow all over your lids. Preferably not a blue or pink one, as it tends to look a bit funny with the lips and tears.

4. Use a ridiculous amount of blush all along your cheeks - trust me, it looks so good under the white dots.

5. Use the eye shadow base to draw out the shape of some tears, and go over it with some light blue eye shadow.

7. Put on a heavy layer of eyeliner and mascara.  I'm pants at handling eyeliner so I did a fairly light layer.

7. Use the eye shadow base to put rows of dots on your face.

8. Using the eyeliner, contour whatever you want on your face - nose, cheeks, eyes. You could do your chin, but I don't really like how that looks. Fill in your eyebrows in a worried sort of shape.

9. Put on a really really bright pink lipstick, and using a cotton bud, put a bit of the eye shadow base on one corner to create a shine line. Finally, outline your lips with the eyeliner.

I hope you enjoyed this sort of Halloweeny make-up tutorial, I know it wasn't that great but I love how it turned out. I'm in no way claiming this to be original, it's been done by so many people, but this is my take on it and I really wanted to try it out.

review - mac lipstick in peach blossom

I do most of my holiday shopping in duty free. When I was going to Portugal with my family, I spotted a Mac stand, so I half-sprinted, half-galloped over. I'd obviously heard so many people rave about their lipsticks, and I wanted a summery shade that would also last me through autumn. I decided to pick up a cremesheen one in 'Peach Blossom', as it was only 16 euros, which is cheaper than the usual prices in England.

In the tube, it appears to be a slightly dusky, beige(ish) pink. On application, it has quite a sheer finish, and is more baby pink than it appears. It also has very subtle glittery undertones which I love.

My only complaint is that it wears off fairly quickly, which isn't ideal, as  I prefer my lipsticks to last longer.

Overall, I really like 'Peach Blossom', while it lasts, and it definitely has the potential to become a favourite.

buying things from peoples' car boots

One thing I really REALLY love is car boot sales. Just around the corner from my house, one takes place on the first Sunday of every month in a school's sports grounds. It's incredible, seeing the whole place packed with stalls, ranging from complete, utter, smelly tack to mind-blowing antiques, and of course the odd beauty stand with NARS PRODUCTS FOR £2. I would say I love them so much for the same reason as vintage shops. It seems amazing to me, that someone before me owned the item, it has a history. Sounds cheesy, it is.

Last Sunday, me and Aimee decided to go for a quick look around. We were there for almost three hours. One of the only bad things about car boot sales, is that sometimes they're incredible, with bargains and loads of great things you can buy, and the majority of times I go, it's just rubbish. Although, I think every time I've been so far, I managed somehow to pick up at least one item.

Originally, I was planning to do a haul-y type post, but I set everything up already and it would be a huge fuss to get it all in one place. Out of the many things I bought, one was a gorgeous vintage tea-party book, with cake recipes, good places to buy pretty table-clothes and everything else in between. I'm sure it will come in handy one day, but I confess I mainly bought it for the cover.
