I know this outfit is so basic - especially with the jumper, I feel so plain - but I've honestly worn this so much lately. It's so so warm, and I've given up on the whole 'trying to actually look good in winter' thing. All I want is to feel like I'm wearing a duvet. Also, I'm a bit all over the place with what I'm wearing at the moment - even more than usual. If someone were to ask me, 'How would you describe your style?', the answer would probably be, 'I have absolutely no idea.' But I guess that's the fun of being my age. 'Finding yourself' and all that stuff. 

The Importance of Second Hand Shopping

It was an ordinary day: Edie received two packages in the post (braces and a t-shirt), and decided to use them in an outfit post. She managed to, somehow, squeeze into her jeans she'd lived in since April, and walked downstairs with her camera. Her mum asked where her new top was from - Depop. Then, she realised EVERYTHING she was wearing was second hand... via depop. And the post ideas came flooding in.

It's A Look

SO this coat is me if I were a coat and just looking at it makes me want to tear up. I'm obsessed with these photos too, taken by a mixture of Maddy and Zeenia. I decided not to put the ones with the fruit shoot in for the sake of my dignity, but it was such a nice day and I think it's got editorial vibes.. no? Kinda?

How Does My Style Reflect My Personality?

Eleanor Claudie is a genius, my friends. We'd been planning to do some sort of collab post and she came out with this amazing idea that we shoot an outfit we feel represents us and then write about style reflecting personality in general. I love this idea, as it's actually something I've been thinking about over the last few weeks. I've been in a bit of a slump: I can never find anything I feel comfortable wearing or want to wear, I'm ill, my eyebrows always go badly in the morning etc etc.. it's just that time of the year. But this really got me thinking about the ever-changing clothes I wear and how I'm influenced by different things. Example: for Halloween, I was Cher from Clueless. The next day I bought a second hand salmon jumper and a pink slip dress. I wore it with black fishnets and black vagabonds.

That Spring Vibe

I'm sorry I've been a bit quiet lately, but it's been nice to have a few posts scheduled and just sit back. As my exams are starting, my blog isn't my top priority at the moment. If I want something, I will not stop trying until I get it, and I really want to do well in these exams! Today I have the somewhat annual cherry blossom outfit post (see last year's here). Do you like the setting of these? I hope so! It's all about that West London phone box and bins in the background thang with a lil bit of blossom :)

Beside the Sea-Side

My second outfit post by the sea and my first outfit post since December is here! And the sea was freezing! But what can I say? Had some nice ice-cream and took some nice photos so I can't complain. Anyway, this is a sort of 'accidental post', because I didn't have anything planned for today. I mean, the outfit is simple to say the least. I've just missed outfit posts, I used to have so so many on one page, and it's nice when one just happens itself! Let me finally stop rambling so you can actually read this.

Trampoline in the background. CLASS. Kinda simple and easy this, but I haven’t worn this skirt in ages and it was about time that I dug it out of my wardrobe. I bought it in Topshop around Easter when everyone was obsessed, but it's a trusty denim skirt (everyone needs one) with some cute buttons up the front. The a-line shape is lovely, too. Most skirts make me look like I've draped a bin bag around me, so a-line skirts are perfect for their high waisted and tailored shape. I decided to wear it with my american apparel oversized (sliiightly to big for me, but really lightweight) top. The story behind this is - it's one size, and I'd been looking for a stripy top for ages, but the ones I tried were too fitted and didn't really suit me. I love the whole shape to it, and although American Apparel is stupidly expensive, wherever you look it's never going to be the same as the one you really like. And it's all good now I have it :))

Hi hi. Sorry for the lack of posts recently, but I thought I'd try to make room in between struggling to read Little Women and doing equations for hours on end to share and outfit with you! I've been wearing this non-stop on slightly warmer days. It's just completely pouring down most days where I live, so altering my outfit choices so they're fit for cold weather hasn't been easy.

I love this skirt. I bought it in the sale a few months ago, and it's just gorgeous!! Besides being one of the only skirts I own that doesn't have a weird crazy print it, it's super versatile, so I can wear it with tights to help face the rain. I think it's out of stock now but I've linked something pretty similar.

ps, it seems like every post I write now begins with 'sorry for not blogging in weeks', but I really am. Why did nobody warn me about the sudden change in work once you get into middle school?!

FINALLY ANOTHER OUTFIT POST FOR Y'AAAALLL. I'm back with a pretty standard every day outfit, meaning I pretty much wear it every day. I like to switch up the gorgeous oldie but goldie rose coloured jumper with graphic tees as well. I had a bit of a frantic moment the other day where I couldn't find it, and it made me realise how much I lurve it.

This skirt is a classic too, you know, the one piece you own that goes with everything. And one of the only skirts I own that actually fit me!! I think if Urban Outfitters want to list an item as extra small, it actually need to be small.

Please don't be taken aback by the top two pictures. I'm not that grumpy in real life, I promise. Also, my hair looks 473857298% frizzier and more damaged than it really is because of the sea water.

Now. This dress. I've seen a few bloggers wear dresses like these - printed and denim alike. It's way out of my comfort zone, and I'm not sure if it suits me.. But with the fit and buttons and the collar - it's just me. In a lovely style with a supeeer lovely belt, I think it's a piece I need to experiment with more. I can't wait to be able to see what I can do with it during winter, pairing it with oversized coats and all that.

Yay for messy sea water hairrr! Not a very summery outfit today - recently, on every blog I've been looking at, all I see are dungarees. Well. I've joined the dark side. Actually, a few months ago I bought some printed ones from Topshop but we can overlook that. This beautiful, black fitted pair are from h&m, and even though it's summer, and it's 40 degrees in Greece, I've been finding myself reaching for them. They go with everything, and I love the rose gold detailing, I think it's so pretty.

The only thing good about winter this year is that I can wear dungarees more. They'd look beautifuuul under a boyfriend coat with a plain white t-shirt underneath. I can't be the only one who does that; imagining what I'd wear things that I haven't even bought with.

I'm loving wearing super bright colours at the moment, and this bag over this top looks heavenly! Bright yellows, reds and brown leather compliment each other so nicely, or at least I think so. I'd say this is the perfect holiday outfit for wandering around town.

This outfit is really, really basic and casual. The kind you'd wear to Sainsbury's after you've been forced to buy bread at 8am. Even complete with my old and very dirty school bag! In all seriousness, I wear these shoes 24/7, meaning they go with everything. EVERYTHING.

I think a jacket can really pull an outfit together and my suede jacket - as I've mentioned countless times before - it's perfect. I just love how it can add something to an outfit and spin it in a completely different direction. You could be wearing a skirt and crop top, looking all preppy, then add a bit of suede and you're a mysterious 70's bombshell ( I know that doesn't apply to the 70's but I couldn't think of another word ). The hairband I also love. It was gifted to me a few years ago.

I'm back with another outfit! Excuse the sliighttlyyy different style and editing of these photos; I'm deciding what works best, so be expecting a few experimental posts from now on. Also, this isn't really a traditional outfit post, I wanted it to be focused completely on the tunic, so that's all you'll see!

I don't actually own a black and white or navy and white striped top - gasp, gasp. The only striped t-shirt I have is red and white. With this piece, I love love the mesh ( again, I don't own anything like this ), and the way the stripes aren't super visible. I love subtlety in clothing, if I'm even making sense anymore.

A few people I know have mixed opinions, and when it was gifted to me I wasn't so sure, but it's definitely won me over. It's like nothing I have in my wardrobe, so will be perfect for my 'mission' to start wearing more exciting clothes. If you've been reading my blog for a while, you'll know what I mean!

If you've been on my blog fairly recently, you'll know I have a slight obsession with suede - exhibit a. I just love how it an tie a whole outfit together. This jacket has instantly become one of those pieces I cannot ever part with!

So this outfit is all about the shoes, despite how I just rambled on about the jacket. I'm really, really happy with them, after about 3 months of saving up. They're very different next to my usual trainers. I really need to start wearing thing out of my comfort zone. What do you think?

In my opinion, these shoes are extremely versatile. Dressed up with a tulle style maxi skirt and a blouse, and dressed down as you can see here. They're that little bit of something special that can make you look like you actually made an effort to get dressed. 

In terms of accessorising and pulling the whole outfit together, I went for a bandana. I bought two whilst in LA, and I just haven't been wearing them enough! I really love how they look, but used as an alice band with a bun is my favourite.

When most people think suede, they think, vintage, old people, etc etc. Me too, almost. Except when Daisy contacted me, I knew I wanted to make all of these outfits out of items I'd never worn together. For example, I would have never thought to wear this top and these shorts together, but hey, I did.

These shorts are gorgeous. I've never really bought or wore printed shorts before ( expect here ), but I saw these and thought 'yes puhleeaaseee'. They make me feel like an indie kind of person who wears circle sunglasses and hangs out in Brick Lane, and I'm fine with that!

I think simplicity is an excellent way to go if you're looking into buying a statement jacket. Well, not statement, but you get what I mean. Whilst you might have seen it look great on someone else, they can be really hard to style properly. Which is why I've stuck to really simple outfits.

I was worried that the adidas would somehow clash, but I think they worked really well in adding a retro feel to this outfit. With the background, red and white stripey top and mom shorts, I feel proper hippy.

pink petal

It's that time again, possibly one of my favourite times of the year. Spring is in full swing ( that didn't mean to rhyme ), and near my house all of the cherry blossoms have come out. All of the streets are lined with beautiful pink petals, and it's so nice to go for a quick walk and just be in awe of how beautiful it looks. The other day, I thought it would be lovely to take some pictures here, and the funny ( and sad ) thing is, all the blossoms died the next day. Good timing, Edie. But really, I'm excited for these photos. I think they have a slightly retro feel to them - I hope you like them too :)

OK, so I know this outfit isn’t extraordinary and is quite easy. I only have around 2 outfit posts planned, so there might be the odd outfit that's a bit rushed or questionable! I still love love love the cherry blossoms in the background, I think they look lovely with the dress.

The print of the dress is gorgeous. I bought it a while ago and haven't worn it much, but now I remember how much I used to adore it. It's not too colourful, but I love the pink and white on black thaaaang. It sort of reminds me of a neck scarf my grandma would wear.
