2014 in pictures

31.12.14

2014 has been one of the most eye-opening and crazy years of my life. If I described the best bits I'd be going on for days so I've uploaded almost 2,500 pictures off my camera ( I've only included my favourites ) which should be self-explanatory.

christmas day

25.12.14

I promised myself I wouldn't do a post on Christmas Day, but once the presents are opened and hot chocolate is drunk and all that jazz, there's not really anything to do.

Christmas Eve - appreciate my gorgeous modelling

my favourite gifts:

tunic dress I've been lusting over for 6 months after having seen it on billionsssss of people.

cutest bobble hat ever no exceptions
I'm incredibly grateful for everything I received, thank you millions to everyone who bought me something :)
We've spent Christmas in the Alps in Avoriaz, which meant for the first time in my life I had a white Christmas!

I hope you all had an amazing day, filled with copious amounts of food and junky presents. Also, me and Emily have a very exciting announcement to tell you tomorrow!

what did you get for Christmas?

skirt - jigsaw
coat - topshop
boots - h and m

Pout game strong in that top left photo eh? Before I ramble and you close the tab, I am fully aware how much this outfit makes me look like a business woman and that my back is way too bony.
I love this outfit - it's because the body and skirt together look like a dress and I personally think it looks quite flattering on me. Kinda felt like I should have been going somewhere a lot more glamorous than to pick my sister up but hey.
I invested in this body, as all the ones I've had before get really baggy and gross after a few wearings and washes. It'll be super useful for everything, worn with skirts, jeans, even as a base for other tops. And here's Topshop winning again with their winter coats. It's super cosy and warm, but really thin and not heavy at all, plus it fits like a dreeeaaaamm.

vintage button-down shirt

necklace - punky pins
leggings - american apparel

There's definitely a serious vintage theme going on here. You know when you've had your eye on something for ages but it's not thaaaaaaaaat important to justify spending all that money on it. Yep, well, my auntie bought the necklace for me for my birthday. I am eternally grateful. It's absolutely beautiful, the crazy florals are stunning. I'm wearing it with my vintage shirt I bought last year in Yorkshire. I LOVE IT.
Punky Pins jewellery is the best and I've had my eye on the necklace for months. The way it rests is perfect and I absolutely love the colours too. This is, infact, the first time in eight days I've worn proper clothes. I was really ill and spent the whole week slobbed in my bedroom in my jimjams. Laziest person in the world award goes to me.

christmas gift guide for her

8.12.14

1/2/3/4/5/6

I thought I'd put this post together to give you some gift ideas, perhaps to buy for friends, secret santa, your Mum, or you could just go wild and buy it for yourself now. Go ooooooooon.

I know I ramble on about stuff like this so I'm not going to say much, only that pretty much every sane girl ( including me ) I know would love everything on this list.

denim skirts and statement bracelets ft. Ebegebe Jewellery

6.12.14

shirt - motel rocks
bracelets - c/o ebegebe jewellery

I like this skirt very much. My mum picked it up in New York - she went with my dad for his work, she didn't just casually fly to New York. It's a bit too summery to wear out now without tights, which is why these photos are inside, but I realised a few days ago I hadn't included it in a post. It's high-wasted which is pretty much what sold me, but because I'm a wee one the XS was too big and I had to roll it up, so I can only wear it with something covering the top. Pros and cons. I wore it with my craziest, weirdest, blinds-people-when-I-wear-it-out shirt, which I lovelovelove.
How amazing do these bracelets look?! I was sent them from Ebegebe Jewellery a while ago and I've been meaning to mention these so here they are. I love the jewellery and accessories from this company, it's so quirky and they're really reasonable prices for what they are. The quality is incredible considering all the peices are handmade, and there is such a huge range of items. The bracelets came beautifully packaged and very very fast. Thank you Evie for sending me these, I love them!

although I was sent these items to review, it does not influence my opinion and I have been 100% honest

one year old

4.12.14

Today my blog is one year old. Congratulations blog, you still look as bad as you did one year ago. I know I don't exactly have very much popularity, but I'm surprised 9,000 people are reading this. I really hope my blog can grow but thank you to all the people who take time out of their day to read it, makes me very happy.

Remembering last Christmas Eve, when I was curled up on my Grandma's couch in Yorkshire writing a lush review on my iPad to post whilst watching Friends, it gives me a really odd feeling. Back then I was still experimenting with backgrounds and headers, and it made me so happy and I'd be up until 3am designing. It's incredibly hard to explain but remembering that time makes me insanely happy and tear up a bit. I really have no idea.

September last year, I made the most embarrassing blog possibly ever. I then deleted the nav bar ( stupid ) which meant I couldn't use it anymore. Or at least I thought I couldn't because I didn't realise you could post through the blogger website. I thank myself every day for doing that because it meant I made this blog.

In December, this drawing was my header. Wow. I really loved it. Now my design is a bit more boring, but I think it makes a statement, and goes with every post because it's a minimalist theme. Maybe one day I can go back to this.

Then came Christmas and I had so many different backgrounds it's insane.

I discovered pic monkey and thought myself very professional ( jokes )

Oh, the good old times when I couldn't figure out why a white background was turning out grey.
Now comes the time I started blogging 'seriously'. Pinks and oranges and reds everywhere, pictures of everyone and everything, editing whenever I had the chance. It was great.

Who remembers this guy ^^

My blog began to gain some more popularity, and I was meeting incredible people through it.

Here I am now. Still happier than ever, Thank you to everyone who's stuck by me. All the opportunities blogging has given me are crazy, and I am grateful every day for them. I hope to continue blogging until I'm 93 and posting about my multiple kittens and knitted pants.
